The Main Factor Driving the Travel Industry:
The Baby Boomers
They retire at a rate of one every 8 seconds, or
10,800 a day and will be retiring at that rate the next 15 years.
Our Initial take:
When our friends first showed us the travel thingie they got involved with I thought it seemed like an awesome idea and a solid company, I just thought they were out of step with trends. I thought with our current weird economy no one was traveling anymore and people were just like me, squirreling away their money under their mattresses and bracing for economic collapse. I just didn't think people were traveling. I could not have been more wrong! Travel is the largest industry on the planet. Let me reiterate:
Travel is the largest industry on the planet.
In 2008 travel was an 8 trillion dollar a year industry,
up by 1 trillion dollars from 2007.
According to professional trend analysis, the travel industry is expected to grow to 15 trillion in the next
10 years.
Gumballs made my jaw drop
Are you more visual? Okay...
We'll start with a $100 dollar bill. Currently the largest U.S. denomination in general
circulation. Most everyone has seen them, slightly fewer have owned them.
Guaranteed to make friends wherever they go.

A packet of one hundred $100 bills is less than 1/2" thick and contains $10,000.

Believe it or not, this next little pile is $1 million dollars (100 packets of $10,000).
.

And $1 BILLION dollars... now we're really getting somewhere...
